  • Sauce:
    • - 6 tsp corn starch / corn flour
    • - 4 Tbsp + 2/3 cup of water
    • - 4 Tbsp soy sauce
    • - 2 Tbsp oyster sauce
    • - 4 Tbsp Chinese cooking wine
    • - 2 tsp sugar
    • - 1 tsp sesame oil
    • - Some black pepper ground
  • 500g beef stir fry
  • 2 big garlic cloves (minced)
  • 3 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 bunches of bok choy

Step 1

Combine all the sauce ingredients together, except 2/3 cup of water. Mix well.

Step 2

Marinate the beef with 4 Tbsp of the sauce. Then add 2/3 cup of water to the remaining of the sauce. Divide the sauce into 2 parts. Set aside.

Step 3

Heat up a pan over high heat. Add oil. Then add garlic to brown.

Step 4

Add the beef and cook until brown (2-3 minutes). Add 1 part of the sauce and cook for 20-30 seconds until the sauce is a bit thickened. Transfer the beef to a plate.

Step 5

Add bok choy with 1/3 cup of water into the pan. Bring to boil. Cook over high heat until soft (3-4 minutes). Add the last part of the sauce and cook until the sauce is a bit thickened. Transfer the bok choy to the plate with the beef. Ready to serve.
