Pikelets

  • 190ml full-cream milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 150g self-rasing flour
  • 1 Tbsp white sugar
  • 1 tsp butter
  • Salt
  • Dollop cream
  • Strawberry jam

Step 1

Whisk milk, egg and sugar together in a bowl.


Step 2

Add flour and a pinch of salt. Whisk until smooth.


Step 3

Heat a non-stick pan (medium heat) until hot. Add butter into the pan. Make sure the melted butter covers the whole area of the pan. Wipe the butter off with a paper towel (only leave a thin layer).


Step 4

Drop the mixture into the pan (1 Tbsp for each pikelet). Cook for roughly 30s each side.


Step 5

Serve pikelets with dollop cream and strawberry jam.
